Upon first bite, I felt compelled to crawl into the very waffle pockets themselves, nestling between those carb-crafted walls as sweet syrup cascaded like a golden waterfall of hope. Truly, this is not food. This is a spiritual event disguised as brunch.
I had the shrimp tacos and it was fantastic, plus shrimp ceviche with house made tortilla chips and a chorizo nacho dip and fresh lemonade. It was all very delicious, freshly made, and family friendly. Here are some photos family took of their dishes.

Listennnnnnnn my Group is out of town on a birthday trip and we just so happen to fall across this place and let me just say 🤌🏼 chefs kiss 💋 I don’t know who got cooking back there but BRAVOOOOOO to them ! And the lemon drop shots 🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼 10/10 they had a little bit of everything the fruit was fresh the atmosphere was amazing this place should be balls to The walls and Trust me we made Karaoke happen and they don’t even have karaoke 🤣 we will definitely come back the next time we visit ! Y’all don’t skip out on this place !!!! I sorry I don’t have any photos of the food I guess I got Too happy and just ate 🥹
We were looking for a place to stop for lunch which was not a fast food joint. Passing by we turned around to come to the Belle Chasse Cafe and we were glad we did. Promptly greeted and sat the waitress patiently waited for us to select what we wanted. My wife cheated and decided on getting a shrimp po-boy just like mine but then again maybe I cheated after hearing her selection. Our orders were taken and in no time our sandwiches arrived. The shrimp were warm and tasted fresh as well as the other ingredients on the sandwich. We enjoyed out meal and our waitress asked if we needed anything else. We had some food to take along with us and the wife wanted a water to go. All in all it was a nice dining experience and our waitress could not have been nicer or more professional.

Holy moly that was good food! I don't know if I get to call this place a hole in the wall yet since I only just moved here. I have passed by a couple times but I wish I had stopped sooner. Grab ya a boot of beer (they really mean it when they say tall) and anything off the menu. I had the Texas burrito and was pleasantly surprised when it came out fried. Might have ruined other burritos for me haha. The wife and kids who don't eat anything basically cleared their plates. There's something for everyone. Thanks to Kailyn for the great service. We'll be back!
Looking for a ridiculously good roadside cafe? This scratches that itch and more. The Chorihash Bowl (breakfast all day!!!!) is nothing short of delicious. Buddy ordered a large house margarita on the rocks, and large is not quite adequate to describe how big it really is. We're talking Vegas large. And strong. They didn't skimp on the pours! The appetizer shrimp were great. We asked for grilled instead of fried and got the garlic sauce. Grilled to perfection, not overcooked at all. The garlic sauce was the perfect balance of garlic. The Texas Burrito is Texas sized and friend who ordered it had nothing but good things to say about it! The shrimp tacos (friend number 2) were stellar. Same cooked to perfection status on the shrimp, well balanced with the garnish. Said they were some of the best shrimp tacos he's ever had. Only (potential) drawback is the 90's-2000's pop ambiance and music selection. We had a good laugh about it, but caught ourselves singing along, especially when Backstreet Boys came on.
My five children and I visited this establishment for Mother's Day. The service was exceptional. The staff demonstrated kindness and patience throughout our visit. I returned my shrimp and grits due to a misunderstanding regarding its preparation, as I had anticipated a broth base rather than a BBQ sauce. Despite this being my error, the manager promptly addressed the situation, ensuring my satisfaction. My dish was replaced with an alternative selection at no additional charge, and the high standard of customer service was maintained. The culinary experience was excellent, and I anticipate returning with my family. The quality of both the food and the staff warrants a gratuity of 18-20%, if not more.
